Pneumatic Valves

Ditton Engineering supplies pneumatic valves for machine control, press safety and general automation across Singapore and Southeast Asia. As an authorised ROSS Controls service centre, we support safety-critical valve applications from specification through to in-service repair.

Selecting a pneumatic valve

  • Function — the number of ports and positions (3/2, 5/2, 5/3) determines circuit behaviour. 5/3 centres matter where a load must hold or vent on loss of power.
  • Port size and flow (Cv) — size to the required actuator speed, not to the pipe thread. An undersized valve is the most common cause of slow cylinder motion.
  • Actuation — solenoid, air pilot, manual or mechanical. Solenoid pilots require a minimum pilot pressure; check applications where supply may drop.
  • Safety category — press and clutch/brake circuits require redundant, self-monitored valves. A standard directional valve is not a substitute for a monitored double valve.
  • Media and environment — dirt tolerance, temperature range, and whether the air is lubricated or non-lubricated.

Send the part number or describe the circuit, and we will confirm availability, lead time and pricing.
